EVENT 2012
The students of B. Pharm 3rd year & M. Pharmacy 1st year visited at Fortis Clinical Research Services at Sunflag Hospital, Faridabad on 31-01-2012 for studying Bioequivalence studies and Phase-I, Phase-II and Phase-III studies on human (Clinical Research).
EVENT 2011
PDM College of Pharmacy organized its Freshers Day Paradiddle 2011 on Friday, 16th September, 2011. The students of 2nd & 3rd year Bachelors in Pharmacy welcomed the new fresher’s (B. Pharmacy 1st Year and M. Pharm 1st Year). The Paradiddle programme was inaugurated by lighting of lamp by Dr. Arun Garg, (Director) and Dr. Hema Chaudhary. Dr. Arun Garg in his welcome address expressed that Pharmacy course has ample carrier options such as Production & Manufacturing, Analysis & Testing, Hospital Pharmacy, Academics,Pharma Journalism,Opportunities Abroad, Patent Attorny – Pharma, Research & Development, Marketing, Community Pharmacy, Regulatory Affairs, Drug Consultancy, Product Development, Medical Writing, Clinical Research, Pharma Insurance, Quality Assurance.
The cultural programme consists of Dances, Songs, Mimicry, and other interesting events. Mr. Fresher: Mr. Parvesh, Ms. Fresher: Ms. Sakshi, Mr. Handsome: Mr. Amit and Ms. Elegant: Ms. Sukriti were selected out of the freshers and were honoured during the programme. The programme ended with the jam session and vote of thanks presented by Dr. Arun Garg.
College has organized an industrial trip for B.Pharmacy 3rd year students to Akums laboratory & IDPL. Students were homeward bound adding another page of pleasant memories to their album of college life.
EVENT 2010
The college organized the educational tour at 62nd Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Manipal 2010 under the leadership of Dr. Arun Garg, Director, P.D.M. College of Pharmacy. Students of M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics & Pharmacology) participated in the conference and presented 12 Research Papers on various current topics related to Pharmacokinetics, Dosage Form Designing & Pharmacy Practice. The students also attended various scientific session delivered by International speakers on “Advancements in Pharmacokinetics, Neuro Pharmacokinetics, Counterfeit Drugs, Pharmaceutical waste management, Intranasal Drug Delivery System, Clinical Research, Clinical Trials, Chirality of Organic Compounds, Pharmacodynamic & Pharmacokinetic co-relation”. The schedule of the conference was from 17th to 19th December 2010. The number of participation in the conference from the college were 20, including 16 students accompanied by Dr. Suresh Purohit, (Prof., Pharmaceutics), Mr. Vinod Kumar (Sr. Lab. Tech.) & Mrs. Vinita (Lab. Tech.).
National Pharmacy Week was celebrated on 22nd November 2010 in the college campus. The program have comprised of the seminar on “Advances on Clinical Research and Drug Discovery” by various delegates from pharma field. Many renouned personalities i.e. Mr. Atul Kumar Nasa (Chief Guest) President of Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association (IPGA), Mr. S. L. Nasa, (Guest of Honour) Registrar, Delhi Pharmacy Council, Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Managing Director, Catalyst Clinical Services Ltd., Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur, Head- Quality Assurance, Fortis Clinical Research Ltd., Faridabad were present in the seminar. Dr. Arun Garg, Director, PDM College of Pharmacy, induced energetic clinical fundamentals regarding the objectives of the seminar and sparkled the programme by the warm welcome of all the dignitaries of the seminar. He emphasized that the seminar is aimed at providing updated knowledge on clinical research, which is an upcoming profession with lot of job opportunities for the pharmacy graduates. During the programme various meritorious student of PDM College of Pharmacy were awarded with the trophies and certificates. Around 100 alumni of PDM College of Pharmacy participated in the seminar and presented their scientific posters.
